It has been a while since I sat down to blog, so thought it was time for an update!

A lot has happened with me, and with SNBS in the last few months. Let me share some of it with you!

I have recently changed my in-home rates to reflect the trying financial times we are all facing. Read more about the new rates here: http://www.snbsonline.net/id3.html I have taken $25 off each price point for in home breastfeeding assistance. Class prices remain the same.

My family and I have expanded a little! We have a new dog, Asia, and 7 new cats! 1 stray mama cat who adopted us, and her 6 kittens that came the same day she did! And no, we are not keeping them! :-) Homes have been found for everyone, and now they just have to wait the 8 weeks until are are ready for relocation. Asia will be staying however!

I am no longer seeing clients at Well Rounded Momma  (www.wellroundedmomma.com) due to scheduling conflicts, and have returned to home visits only, and seeing clients each Tuesday at Foothills Pediatrics. This service at Foothills is not for the general public, it is only for Foothills patients.  

You can still find FANTASTIC workshops, birthing classes and support groups at Well Rounded Momma, as well as a wonderful natural family boutique! Well Rounded Momma also houses the offices of the following homebirth midwives:

SO! The new year brings some pretty big changes to my schedule. Thought I'd share about those here.

Foothills Pediatrics

Right now, the patient demand for Lactation Services at Foothills is simply not strong enough to warrant offering a full time schedule. The new schedule, beginning Monday, January 5th is as follows:

Tuesday 9:30am-5:00pm Southern Hills (Ft. Apache) Office

Thanks to my dear husband, the SNBS site is now able to accept donations at the bottom of the SNBS Homepage! It is pretty costly to run this site, as huge as it is, and keep it constantly updated, active and what I consider to be one of the better sites on breastfeeding basics and information.

I have had many moms and dads in the last 7 years ask me "Is there any way to support your work? Support what you do?" and finally I can say YES!

I provide many of my services free of charge, and at discounts for needy families. I offer a substancial active military discount, teach free breastfeeding basics classes at Nellis Air Force base, and see my teen mommy clients without fee.

In today's economy, it's getting hard to continue to do those things, and the generous support from past and present clients, and those who support breastfeeding, will help to keep those services free and reduced, and keep this site up and running!

I am so loving the cooler weather! I walk outside in the morning to take my daughter to school and it's SO nice and cool outside! The last few mornings we have walked out the door and she says, "Oh mom! It feels so good out here!" Bring on Fall!

Our new home has a pool, our first, and we have used it and used it this summer. What a fabulous thing a pool is. I forgot how much I loved to swim. And my kids, goodness! My kids are fish! I swear they both have gills!

I love Las Vegas, yes, even in the summer!
